The impact you'll make:

Reporting to the Director of Store Operations, the Manager of Store Operations is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the key processes that drive Retail contribution at Saje. Through optimizing communications, balancing labor, and driving the flow of inventory into and out of the channel, the Manager of Store Operations will drive the process to achieve the productivity goals for Retail. 

As the owner of Store Support, this role will also ensure that all field leaders have access to prompt, personal support for any issues arising with process; by assessing root causes, Store Support will also springboard opportunities for process improvement, to continually remove sources of waste and barriers to execution in the stores. 

All Saje Team Members are responsible for contributing to Saje’s culture and maintaining a positive environment for themselves and their peers.

What you'll do:

  • Be a key stakeholder in populating the full-year channel operations calendar, content creation, as well as sending out the comms when needed. 
  • Own the operational calendar on behalf of Retail, to ensure the timely planning, communication and execution of all TM and CM-facing initiatives. 
  • Own the feedback and resolution on behalf of the Retail field for operational issues, with a focus on process, inventory support, labor management or operational standards. 
  • Manage the first line of contact for stores, ensuring courteous service and timely resolution for day-to-day issues, and root cause analysis of systemic challenges.  
  • Report regularly on and identify opportunity in Retail growth and profit drivers such as labor efficiency, traffic, inventory productivity, core and campaign performance, and outlet health. 
  • Internally consult on all initiatives impacting labor at Retail, guiding correct timing, force-ranking priority, coordinated impact within the retail calendar, and operational ease. 
  • Act as the Retail lead upcoming & current process improvement projects, to evaluate effectiveness, identify barriers and prove out ROI. 
  • Own the critical path for Holiday operational planning, including scheduling, logistics, physical store readiness and communications calendar. 
  • Support with ad-hoc requests from internal and cross-channel partners as needed. 
  • Continuously assess current store operations to pinpoint areas for improved performance, with a focus on maximizing labor, protecting margin, and continually enriching the CM experience. 
  • Foster strong relationships with all levels of the Retail field team, to best understand challenges and be close to the voice of the CM. 
  • Identify and escalate high-impact issues through the Retail leadership team, ensuring they are addressed with urgency.  
  • Co-create and contribute to the Retail Operations roadmap alongside the Director, ensuring alignment with the goal of sustainable sales growth for the channel. 
  • Share impactful wins & learnings of current & recent projects with Saje through presenting on All Hands calls. 

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Retail leadership experience, within a vertical retailer who manages their own brick and mortar stores. 
  • Several years of experience in retail operations, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role. 
  • Specialization across the areas of Inventory, Allocations, Logistics, and Labor.  
  • Experience working within a highly cross functional team working with partners like, Retail, Distribution, Logistics, Operations, Marketing, etc. 
  • Proficiency in retail management software and tools, as well as strong analytical skills for reporting and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to deliver clear and concise messaging. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify, manage, and conduct root cause analysis, to resolve operational challenges.  
  • Experience in managing projects, including process improvement initiatives and holiday operational planning.
  • Ability to assess store operations, identify areas for improvement, and report on retail growth and profit drivers. 
  • Understanding of customer needs and the ability to enhance the customer experience. 
  • Must be highly adaptable to support ad-hoc requests and consult on initiatives.

The compensation range for this position is from $70,000– 80,000 annually. Base pay is dependent to market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Other components of our total rewards offerings include:
