The impact you'll make:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Analyst, will provide value-add financial support to drive key business decision- making. This role will learn to analyze all aspects of the Saje P&L, understand the financial impact of our operations and help to enable sound decision-making by our cross-functional partners.
The FP&A Financial Analyst will help co-pilot our financial trajectory in partnership with executive leaders, management and cross-functional teams across the organization. This role will provide clear and concise forward-looking financial analysis to support key stakeholders within the organization at all levels, and gain broad exposure to many teams including Retail, Ecommerce, Distribution & Logistics, Product, Marketing, Creative, IT and People.
With Saje, the FP&A Financial Analyst will build on foundational finance skillset and will gain exposure to broader P&L knowledge, in-depth budget planning, monthly forecasting & analysis, and detailed review of financial statements – all key components of becoming a future leader in finance.
All Saje Team Members are responsible for contributing to Saje’s culture and maintaining a positive environment for themselves and their peers.
What you'll do:
- Ownership of SG&A (selling, general & admin) and COE (cost of ecommerce) sections of our P&L, and Capex (capital expenditure) working with cross-functional partners to build their annual budgets, and supporting them with monthly tracking and forecasting during the year.
- Participation in the month end close process in partnership with our Accounting team.
- Weekly and monthly reporting around Sales and Retail performance that support decision making.
- Annual budget and strategic planning preparation support including the creation and updating of tempaltes, schedules, and financial models
- Participate and support process-improvement initiatives
- Ad-hoc reporting/analysis such as ROI analyses, campaign and promotion performance, etc.
- Contributes to a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
- Progression toward or achievement of CPA designation considered an asset
- Intermediate MS Excel skills using complex functions (vlookup, index/match, conditional lists, arrays, pivots), intermediate PowerPoint skills
- Excellent analytical skills, experience in basic financial modelling and udnerstanding of general accounting principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - must be able to communicate effectively to operations management and produce effective, insightful reports
- Ability to work independently and think proactively
- Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Microsoft Dynamics AX, PowerBI, Sharepoint knowledge is considered an asset
- Passionate about natural wellnes and eager to learn the world of Retail FP&A

The compensation range on average for this position is from $65,000 - $75,000 annually. Base pay is dependent on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
