The impact you'll make:

The Supply Planning Specialist supports the execution of supply plans that translate demand forecasts into actionable production and purchasing plans. This role supports our expansion to include Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and B2B channels primarily in the US and contributes to service, inventory, and cost objectives across the product lifecycle—from new product introduction through product phase-out.

Working closely with cross-functional partners across Operations, Demand Planning, Procurement, QA/QC, and contract manufacturing partners, the Supply Planning Specialist helps ensure product availability while minimizing stockouts, excess inventory, and expiry risk.

All Saje team members are responsible for contributing to Saje’s culture and maintaining a positive, collaborative environment.

What you'll do:

Supply Planning & Scheduling

  • Primary focus will be on supply planning for B2B channels and US Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), while also supporting the Senior Supply Planner to ensure coverage across all channels and customers.
  • Support the development and maintenance of short and mid-term supply plans aligned to the approved demand forecast.
  • Support the development of the production plans and purchase recommendations for finished goods, bulk materials, and key packaging components.
  • Monitor capacity constraints, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and lead times across internal production, kitting, and co-manufacturers.
  • Assist with plan adjustments to respond to demand changes, supply disruptions, and material shortages.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to support production prioritization, inbound planning, and allocation of incoming supply.
  • Contribute to seasonal and promotional planning activities, including peak periods such as Q4, to support on-time product availability.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels at distribution centres (DCs) supporting US business to support service targets while minimizing excess, obsolescence, and expiry risk.
  • Identify slow-moving, short-dated, and at-risk inventory and support mitigation recommendations.
  • Maintain and validate SKU and BOM-level data to support accurate planning and master data integrity.
  • Support safety stock reviews and parameter maintenance, including lead times and reorder points.
  • Assist with materials supply planning and reorder point calculations in collaboration with the Demand Planning team.

Contract Manufacturing & Procurement Support

  • Coordinate with contract manufacturing partners to confirm production schedules and material availability.
  • Support purchase order planning and timing in collaboration with the Procurement team.
  • Flag and escalate potential risks related to capacity, raw materials, or packaging constraints.
  • Incorporate shelf life and expiry considerations into supply and inventory plans.
  • Partner with QA/QC to understand holds, rework, and release timing that may impact available supply.

New Product Launches (NPD/NPI)

  • Support supply planning activities for new product launches, reformulations, and line extensions.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Product, and contract manufacturing teams to support readiness for initial production runs.
  • Assist with phase-in and phase-out planning to minimize inventory risk, write-offs, and supply gaps.
  • Help track launch assumptions and ensure alignment between demand, supply, and inventory plans.

Visibility, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accurate and timely supply data and planning signals within ERP and planning systems.
  • Prepare and update regular reports related to supply readiness, inventory health, and plan adherence.
  • Support data accuracy and master data maintenance to improve planning reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, tools, and ways of working, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supply planning, production planning, inventory management, or a related supply chain role.
  • Working knowledge of supply planning fundamentals, including lead times, MOQs, safety stock, and inventory controls.
  • Experience supporting contract manufacturers or external suppliers is an asset.
  • Exposure to new product launches and phase-in/phase-out planning is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP or planning systems and strong Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, assess options, and make sound recommendations.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities.
  • A team-oriented mindset aligned with Saje’s values and commitment to a positive workplace culture.
