Through day to day functions, the Distribution Centre Supervisor contributes to maintaining and strengthening Saje’s culture; proactively engaging in behaviors that align with Saje’s values. 

 

Tasks and responsibilities performed daily contribute to providing retail stores and eCommerce customers with product required and requested. All functions performed ultimately lead to the fulfillment of units to our community members, allowing them to meet their wellness needs, while also contributing to the overall success of Saje as a business. 
 

As a Distribution Centre Supervisor, providing training, directional and functional oversight of your specific shift and Distribution Associates is key to ensuring that operations can function effectively.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage daily volumes and ensure work is readily available for team members throughout operational hours 

  • Work with internal departments to balance labour and workload to ensure all Distribution priorities are met on a daily basis  

  • Ensure all departmental functions are completed within set SLAs 

  • Ensure all departmental functions are completed with an efficient use of labour 

  • Ensure all direct reports meet required expectations and KPIs on a daily basis, providing feedback, coaching, performance management and re-training where necessary. 

  • Ensure all direct reports meet DC and company policy expectations, providing feedback, coaching and performance management where necessary. 

  • Ensure all functions are completed in accordance with training and Standard Operating Procedures 

  • Ensure timely communication, escalation, and resolution of any potential issues regarding people, functions, technology, labour requirements or safety hazards. 

  • Identification and execution of continuous improvement opportunities in partnership with management 

  • Interview and recruit new team members as required to fulfill operational needs 

  • Onboarding and training of new team members 

  • Ensure all team members are working in a safe environment. 

  • Creates a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion. 

  • Manage partnership with temporary staffing agency to meet the needs of the business. 

  • Responsible for internal health & safety management as representative JHSC co-chair. 

  • Works with the product requisition and strategic sales support teams to fulfill requests. 

  • Works alongside IT team to provide troubleshooting and support relating to: IT Equipment, Microsoft AX. 

    • Ecommerce Returns: Utilizes Salesforce to process ecommerce returns and reshipments. 

    • Allocations: Prepare various reports and analysis related to product allocation, prepare and release transfer orders as requested.

    The hourly rate for this position is 24.50 to 27.00 CAD per hour
